Loving the comic, stumbled upon here by accident and instantly got addicted. Awesome job
Thanks. Thanks very much.
Fun comic! Keep up the great work! 🙂
I got this comic link from my brother and checked it out not knowing what it was and immediately liked it. I recently learned who wrote it!
Terrific!
A great strip. I came across it yesterday through gomics, and once here had to read every episode I could find. Compelling stuff! I hope it runs and runs! (and runs some more!)
Love the strip! Keep it going!
But are you a real person?
How did they get stranded on the island?
How indeed?

Washed up on the onther side of the island and have been spying on them ever since. Love the strip and wish it a long sucessful run.
Thank you very much, Gregg.
To answer the question you asked on GoComics… Banana Triangle IS hand-drawn but on a cheap Wacom pen tablet and not paper… so it’s both, digital and hand-drawn! You didn’t ask but it was not an easy choice to leave ink and paper behind.
Please share Banana Triangle with others!
Saw Banana Triangle the other day at GoComics and loved it, strange as it is – not your typical “Ziggy” or “Family Circus”. This past weekend I went back and read all through March to present, and just wanted to say thanks. Now to try last Jan. and Feb., or however far back I can go.
So glad you’re enjoying it and hope you keep on reading… strange as it is!
[Note: I believe archaeologists, using recently discovered skulls, have confirmed a link between the characters in Family Circus and those in Banana Triangle.]
I am hooked on this strange little world. I look forward to M-W-F, so that I can read and ponder another episode. Do you have a long term scenario in mind, or do you just take implement in hand, and see where it goes?
Both, I guess. I like to think I know where it’s going but it keeps veering off in different directions. Wish I could spend more time on it. Thank you so much for reading.
I have really been enjoying this comic! I was especially happy to find this site as well!
Will we ever get to know what’s happen to civilization?? #suspense
I hope so! So many questions, can’t wait to see what happens next!
You think YOU have questions…
LOL! You’re not a comic writer for nothing I see. 😀
Dark, and irreverent: looks promising. Your white-washed store reminds me of abandoned dwellings that dot I-80 between Elko, and Reno, Nevada. A high-desert moonscape.
Thanks for asking.
Is there an easier way to access the archives instead of clicking the month button over and over? I missed a good portion of the story somewhere in the middle, probably when Gretel and whoever the nurse is were introduced, but I’m not sure how to find an entire archive to sift through instead of clicking pages and pages.
Sorry, Chasey, but at this point in its existence there is no easier way to do what you are asking about on http://www.bananatriangle.com. I absolutely stink at this aspect of managing a webcomic! Help me, somebody! Help!
I binge-read this whole comic series in 4 days. Now what?
Wow! Now what indeed!
Perhaps you’ve gained enough insights that you can explain to the rest of us what it’s all about!
ohh ohh ohhh; pick me pick me…. 🙂
Gnome… I see you have your hand up…
There really is nothing to understand. Much like being in the Banana Triangle, we are all born on our own, landlocked geographical islands, where most will never leave. Being a castaway in Banana Triangle is a corollary to your feelings of captivity in your present circumstances.
All of the castaways are people in our lives; Some flow in/out , some never leave, but human behaviors never change, they are DNA deep. Whether it is advocates like Tom, always the victim Scotty, or self centric /destructive Rosemary, we are all a mosaic of deep biological traits, that we shroud with the social norms of the society we are born into. The Banana Triangle uncloaks the ugly truth of b’acne, the one-way nature of altruism., and the fatalistic nature of existence.
Events in the Triangle seem random, like real life; but repeat, like real life. Toxic baggage that seems to show up at inopportune times ; knowing that some people will not help themselves; believing you are owed help. Events reoccur when the same or equivalent solution sets are present.
The outcome is the same for all of us. The answer to the equation of life is death. With death being the absolute unchangeable sum, and the equation variables, while in theory unlimited, are in reality narrowly finite.
See? Simple. It’s all there, clear as day, just like everyday life.
It is an absolutely brilliant, graphic commentary on the human condition.
Gnome. 🙂
After rereading this(several times), if I had a button, I would delete it in a heart beat, it’s a mess. My public apologies to you.
I absolutely stand by the last line, it is brilliant- gnome ☮
Earlier that day, I was on a psyc-chat board post about Myers/Briggs tests, and I had compared it to Astrology , vigorous discussion ensued. Pseudoscience sounds like it could be a thing, but there isn’t anything there. In SMBC terms, bad ad-hoc hypotheses, and thus, even with context, it is a mess. -gnome ☮
“Mess?” Banana Triangle is the mess!
I must have read this comic from inception to present 3 and probably many more times! Every time I find some little nuance I missed the last time through because I was reading so fast. These guys make my day. I get the triangle, anything can happen in the triangle, nothing bothers these guys in the triangle, aren’t the clouds beautiful today?
Stumbled upon the comic while searching “Awesome Web Comics”…love it, i’m addicted…hopefully you’ll be putting together a book or two..??..(Hint, Hint)…Keep up the great work!
Thanks, Lewis! A book or two? Why not three? I mean…. while we’re dreaming.
I love your strip! I get so excited when I see a new one pop up in my GoComics newsletter!
Thanks for the nice comment, Greenisles!
