What does the fall in panel 4 mean? Where did he fall from? Where did he fall to?
There is so much about this ‘toon I don’t understand but that panel is odd even for this very confusing ‘toon.
Here’s my take, Kathy: Scotty is attempting to escape Rosemary and her cackling laughter. Spying the gun lying on the ground distracts him from seeing the corpse, whereas he trips over it’s legs and is sent flying (he does appear to be falling. I can’t argue with you there). Clever as always, Scotty recognizes an opportunity to assume a disguise and perhaps avoid being berated by Rosemary for not following through on his part of the “deal.” (i.e. hack off a limb for her supper). Brilliant, no?
Hello “Jean-Claude II?”
How did he get separated from Dennis?
Will Rosemary ever get her leg?
So many questions!
